Paris & Disneyland

At the end of May, when the seniors in our school have final exams on, the first, second and third years get to go on an Activities Week. This is where the pupils go on different school trips so that they are out of the way whilst the exams take place.
Since it is my final year of this, my friends and I decided to take a trip to Paris and Disneyland, and since it was so amazing, I'm going to share it with you now.

Sunday 25th May - Monday 26th
Today we set off at 21:00 on our bus to reach Dover the next morning for our ferry. We were meant to sleep during the night (which i did manage) but everyone else was too hot and uncomfortable and therefore were very tired the following day. We caught a P&O ferry from Dover to Calais and arrived in France at around 11 o'clock (French time). Next was a trip to a very large shopping mall known as Euro Cité which we had heard mixes reviews about. It turned out great! We only had one hour and therefore didn't visit many shops. However the first we spotted was a Sephora! My friends and i had been hoping to go to a Sephora on the Champs Elysees, but weren't sure if we would be allowed, so when we saw this one we screamed! It was so good! I bought a large Sephora eyeshadow palette, called the 'It Palette' in 'Nude', and don't worry I will be doing a blog post on that soon! Finally after a very long day and a half, we travelled back to our hotel near Disneyland, known as the Explorers hotel, which i have actually stayed in before. We had a buffet dinner which was nice, but cold. Then afterwards we played rounders outside on the grass, and sadly our team lost, but that didn't matter to us as we were all so tired and just wanted a good nights sleep.

Tuesday 27th May
This was our one and only day visiting Disneyland! Our tickets were for both Parks (Magic Kingdom & Hollywood Studios) and all of the rides which we went on were amazing! We got there at around 10 oclock and left at 18:00 to go back to the hotel for dinner. My favourite rides were definitely Rock'n'Roller Coaster - Starring Aerosmith, the Tower of Terror and Space Mountain. After dinner we played rounders again to finish the tournament, but annoyingly our team lost again, but it wasn't that big a deal and it was a lot of fun.

Wednesday 28th May
Today we first visited Aquaboulevarde, an indoor waterpark in Paris. It was really surprising! It had body flumes, ring flumes and a family raft type ride, we loved them all! Afterwards we went to the Eiffel Tower and we got the lift right up to the top. The view was STUNNING! Next we took a boat trip down the seine at the Bateux Mouches and then went for dinner at Flunch. After our tea we were meant to go up the Arc de Triomphe, but due to construction work, we were not allowed, but we did get good photos of it and the Notre Dame too.

The view from the top of the Eiffel
Tower, never mind the wire at the side.

I know, i look horrible in this photo...

Thursday 29th May
We spent our last full day at Parc Asterix, another theme park which has amazing rollercoasters! We then went back to the hotel to pack and left a 20:00 to get our ferry at the Calais docks at 2:40 in the morning. We arrived really early and got on a ferry at 00:30 instead and therefore made it back home for 14:00 on Friday 30th, I was so exhausted!

I know I'm cut out of this photo but I think that improves it to be honest!
A big thanks to all my friends for making this trip so enjoyable and hilarious!
